2 At the J Awards of 2013, the album won Australian Album of the Year. 1 The deluxe edition of the album was released on 12 November 2013. It was released on 9 November 2012, by Future Classic. I recognise them from a forum that no longer exists from around 2006/2007. Flume is the debut studio album by Australian electronic musician Flume. Again, black trim and 5 stud wheels (only aero style wheels this time, indicating US 86 onwards or JDM/ADM/EDM 87 onwards) but it has the pumped kouki guards and the split foglight headlights confirming USDM. The second car is a 1986 USDM 300ZX turbo. RHD and the rear trim vents indicates it's an Aussie model. I actually thought the visuals were quite stunning. Definitely still love flume and I respect his art. Can tell by the wheels and trim (5 stud and black trim = turbo) and no scoop in Australia on a zenki (narrow fenders, squared off front, early tail lights) turbo model indicates it's an 85. Not trying to come across as a hater, but I believe that the experimentation with the sound in this album was a little too radical for my taste and made the album overall very difficult to listen to. I just noticed there's actually two different Z31s in this video.

No one will really care but I'd like to focus on the 300ZX used in this video. It's not made with dancing in mind but some of these tracks definitely get me moving. It's contemplative and thoughtful, but also visceral and engaging when it wants to be. This is music that you can actually sit and listen to. You really don't know what's coming in the next bar and I love that. The textures and melodies are gorgeous and enveloping. The percussion gives you just enough to nod along with but provide enough twists and turns to keep you actively engaged while listening. In a short clip simply titled 'Flume - 2022,' the famed Australian electronic music producer showcases a dreamy ambient track featuring an unmistakable voice: Damon Albarn of Gorillaz. It's sound art that happens to absolutely fucking bump at times. It's simply electronic music with an emphasis on beats.

Listen to Flume, a playlist curated by Flume on desktop and mobile. I'm probably on my 8 or 9th listen through at this point and I'm still finding new things to love about it. This is basically Wall Fuck x1000 and it's something I've been hoping he would do at some point in his career (but not really expecting.) I feel like Flume always had something like this in him and it was just beneath the surface. That said, this is my favorite Flume project by miles. I respect your opinion and respect you for at least giving it a fair shot.
